PRODUCT ASSISTANT
We are looking to appoint an exceptional individual to work in our product team based in Sunderland. Reporting to the Category Manager, your brief will be to support the product team on a day to day basis.
You will also take ownership of the administration of the brasher product testing and maintaining the product line list, all the data and library of material. This is a real opportunity for someone to get involved in all different aspects of product development.
This is a demanding role, which will take responsibility for:
- Supporting the product testing on a day to day basis ensuring all information is maintained and data is collected
- Maintaining product information file and product line list
- Supporting the product development team by tracking sample deliveries and development timetable
- Supporting in the organisation of the product sales launch
- Organising and maintaining database
In order to succeed in this role the successful candidate will:
- Be highly organised with the ability to multi task and the ability to work to tight deadlines
- Be able to work independently without extensive supervision
- Have exceptional computer skills – excel and powerpoint skills are essential
- Have a keen eye for attention to detail
- Have strong communication skills and ability to interact with different function as well as people overseas
- Have some level of experience in product development, R&D, or project support will be a great advantage
- Have experience in footwear this will be advantageous but it is not essential
- Have proven administration skills
You will need to be:
- Enthusiastic, positive and with a ‘can do attitude’
- Willing to take on challenges, learn and go an extra mile
- Graduate educated or the equivalent

JNR FOOTWEAR DESIGNER (10 MTH FTC)
We are looking to appoint an exceptional individual to be part of our dedicated Product Design Team, based in Sunderland. Reporting to the Category Manager your main responsibilities will be to produce and develop footwear designs which meet the requirements of the range brief, and to provide innovative solutions to Lifestyle consumers footwear needs.
This is a demanding role, which will take responsibility for:
- To research and be aware of overall trends specific to lifestyle footwear
- To ensure understanding of consumer trends and consumer targets
- To keep abreast of International trends on material / construction developments
- To produce designs working to the brief that are innovative yet commercially viable in accordance with Product Development Critical Path.
- To provide new, innovative solutions to footwear needs
- To work closely with our development team to ensure technical feasibility
- To undertake responsibility to the product testing of new designs and materials
In order to succeed in this role the candidate must have:
- A degree in design preferably in footwear bias or the equivalent
- Proven design experience
- Knowledge of sports/lifestyle footwear is preferable
- Computer literate with advanced illustrator and photoshop skills
- Strong empathy and understanding of outdoor/’lifestyle activities
- Strong communication skills and be an outstanding presenter
- Ability to work under tight deadlines, in a fast moving, highly creative environment where team player attributes are essential
