ProVolution Pole comes 1st in the walking pole test, Country Walking, March 2008:
Comfort and Fit: 9/10:
"These carbon poles have super-comfy contoured EVA handles, which extend a short way down the shaft - ideal for steep traverses - and lovely soft, padded straps with a standard wedge-style adjustment that works well enough, but is more fiddly than some. They are usable from around 100cm to 140cm - a decent range that should cover just about everyone - and, because of their light weight, they are easy to walk with and accurate to plant."
Performance: 10/10:
"Hard to fault. Although made from lightweight carbon, they proved tough enough to withstand everything I could throw at them - even the rough and tumble of some of Ireland's highest mountains. The Powerlock locking system (flip lock design) didn't slip at all during the test - a definite plus - and they still look good, with just a few stratches on the lower section. They beat the Pacerpoles because they're easier to carry and are generally more versatile."
