brasher Calusa XCR - tried and tested by BBC Countryfile:

These shoes boast brasher's new Tri-Fit Active technology, which includes an asymmetrical lacing system, a three part footbed and an ankle support system.  I found them to be very supportive, so the Tri-Fit technology appears to work. These shoes have excellent shock absorption and the grippy sole doesn't clog up with dirt.

Verdict:

If you have weak insteps, then these shoes will help to correct your feet or even your backache.  The support structure is second to none.
