Tested by Chris Townsend, Gear Editor, TGO:

"When these boots first appeared I quite liked them.  I still do.  They have a striking appearance belying brasher's old subdued look.  They're made from mesh reinforced with suede.  The latter is one piece, cleverly cut so no seems are needed.  There's a hard rubber toe bumper and a solid heel counter.  The cushioning is thick and effective and the sole has good grip on all types of terrain other than ice. "

"The fit is quite roomy though and I can't comfortably wear thick socks with these boots.  After a fair amount  of use the only sign of wear is a little fluffing up of the mesh just above the sole, so durability seems good.  The weight is reasonable, as is the price, given the Gore-Tex XCR lining.
