Tambora GTX - TGO recommended!!

Bizarrely for a fabric boot, these needed breaking in. The reason was the moulded rubber toe box which had a solid edge across the flex point and cut into my toes. Over time this sensation eased but it was unpleasant while it lasted. The rand is toe and heel only. Tambora, which is just for women (no men’s version available) , is ahigh volume with a wide forefoot and a very high cut up the leg. My feet tended to slip forward and into the sky-scraper tongue, until I filled up with volume adjusters. The footbed is one of the best and was the only one I didn’t replace with Superfeet.
The sole unit gripped well on all terrain, including snow, although brasher say these are for use “below the snowline”. They have a B0 rating but I used strap-on crampons with no problem. Light and flexible, they would work for general winter walking if you have a wide, high volume foot and like a high cut boot.
